It’s more just getting out of the water full stop. I struggle down the pool when the aqua aerobics is on and there’s a bit of chop filtering into the lanes
Getting to the sea isnt exactly convenient for practice round here.

Right, just rang the Atlantic in Tenby and booked a single room for £145 p/n, a double is £210 p/n. They are holding this year’s prices and they’ve just confirmed them today. 3 night min
Good price for that location IMO. Get on it!

I’ve been a bit preoccupied the last 24hours but just got around to calling them. As FP says, it looks a nice hotel in a great location. If I was on my own I’d just camp but that’s unfair on MrsB (we always support at each others races) especially if the weather is in. At least now she’s got somewhere near to bunker down during a long day. I’m nae quick..
Anyway, they had two double rooms left. 1 “compact” sea view and one non sea view. I nabbed the non sea view - I figured I’m going to have plenty of time viewing the sea that weekend. Interestingly, she said they can only quote 2022 prices as a guide but 2023 tariff won’t be available for a month or two. The process is reserve the room and then decide to proceed or not once the prices are released. So that’s what I’ve done.
She was very friendly/efficient, went on to say they have secure storage for the bikes and open breakfast super early on race day. Perfect! So thanks for the recommendation FP 
You know that thing where you set a budget and then immediately break it when you see something nicer and say, ach, it’s only a bit more. Yeah, that!

You’re welcome Bob. It’s not The Ritz but it’s certainly not a shithole, most hotels in Tenby are pretty old. Interesting about the prices because the lady I spoke to said they were absolutely firm. Here’s what she mailed me.

Haha, I just rang them as I was confused. Really helpful lady said there was a changeover of staff and not everyone had caught up.
