74.7kg. -0.4kg. Chipping away. Another 3 weeks to get under 73.5kg.
No movement at all this week. I missed a couple of cardio sessions but did all weights sessions.
I find it easy doing half an hour of cardio at lunchtime when I go to the gym in the evening but can’t get the cardio done in the evening if I go to the gym at lunchtime.
“Exercise is bad for weight loss”
Not read the article but I completely agree.
Weight loss means beig in a calorie defecit & this is hard but it’s much easier than exercising AND being in a calorie defecit.
We are incapable of judging calories, pretty sure that’s a science fact, someone will always reward themselves after exercise with more calories than they burnt.
We’re talking about non athletic types obvs.
Healthy vs weight loss is another discussion.
105.9kg & 33.9%
Chipping away slowly, despite hardly doing any cardio last week.
74.7kg again. Did get down to below 74 mid-week, but put it back on. Should get another .5kg off this week.
Forgive me TriTalk, it has been months since my last confession.
Height = 5’ 7.5” / 1.71m

Note: New scales from Feb.24, with different body fat % readings, so can’t compare like with like.

2024 YTD Loss = Annual Loss – 7.4 lbs / 3.4 kg
Overall, 2024 has seen a LOT of eating out & some stress related comfort eating/drinking.
But I started using a bread maker this month to remove my main source of Ultra Processed Food.
(Will update that thread another day.)
I’ve got a wedding in two weeks, which will encourage me to focus on dipping below 12 stone.
Cheers, Paul.
72.3!
No …!
Chocolate is guilty 100%.
107.1kg & 34.4%
Didn’t do any cardio last week and the gym was only open 1 day over the long weekend, combined with a bit of overindulgence and, ooops!
Not fast enough for my liking but at least it’s a consistent trend. Target of 80kg in the next 2 weeks.
88.1kg yesterday, my winter weight a few years ago, and my pre-triathlon weight ten years ago.
I’ve been depressed about my weight for five years now, stressed for ten. Might be time to stop weighing and worrying. Don’t think I will though, I’ll just keep calling myself a fat fuck in my head everyday - what could go wrong?
April is usually when I start losing anyway, maybe relaxing and letting the cycle happen will be healthier than trying and failing to control it.
106.4kg & 34.0%
Didn’t really get back into a proper routine until the weekend so only 3 weights sessions and a bike commute to work, but watched diet a bit better and at least moved in the right direction a bit.
Sorry, is this meant to be the weight you see on the scales or your Zwift profile?
Are they not the same
75.0kg and 3 weeks since my last weigh in. Been on holiday so my weight has been up and down but settled around the 75kg mark. With a couple of long rides coming up, I’d like to get one more kg off.
I probably need to step on again this morning. I’ve lost my 4/5 day intermittent fasting routine with the Easter holidays, so need to get back into that. Had also started snacking in the evening again, and during my week off had a beer or two pretty much every evening.
Back to the normal routine now though, which should help things.
71.3 this morning
Carrying more leg muscle these last few weeks, sleds / bike intervals I guess
Be nice to hit 70 again for running though
Did a week of tracking calories on MyFitness Pal, averaged 679cal per day below requirement across the week, the result being, drum roll…
106.4kg & 34.0%
I think MFP is giving me far too much credit for calories burnt from exercise , it’s almost doubling my daily requirement for an hour of strength training & half an hour of cardio plus stepcount (@10k) for the day.
Back on the accountability wagon. 88.8 this morning
