2024 Races

I know that feeling, the weight I lost in October is back on plus some in 10 days during November.

It really makes a difference to running. Not only the literal weight you carry but also so the insulation and heat regulation.

Just over 500m, two decent climbs and descents, rest was mostly rolling, although the strava profile suggests different :man_shrugging:t2:

I’ve done plenty in the past on the same day but probably won’t own up to a tough race :joy:

I think my iron levels are usually quite good and I’m going to have another electrolyte drink before I go.

Agree :+1:

Maybe @jeffb can take me on as an under study at some point when I want to do something and regret it.

Respect   @jeffb

Super steady double island run today mainly because:

Notwithstanding:

Mrs T made up - didn’t realise the length of the island and back is a segment of its own. She’s never been a local legend before. Not at all disgruntled that we have run every run together this holiday and she has the title

More to go at

We are going to do any early run tomorrow when it’s a bit cooler :crossed_fingers:

Didn’t get to improve on this - home tomorrow

Despite tinkering with the Strava settings couldn’t seem to get mine to register

End of the island to end of the island (1.9km) I got a time which was about on a par with 6 years ago when I had my energetic 24 (as was then) year old son pacing me so I will settle for that. Would have got me in top 12% of all time and 5th in the age group.

Getting older and need to work on my speed before what little I had abandons me completely.

Looking forward (not) to 25 degrees less when we arrive home tomorrow

No disrespect to anyone here, however, I love seeing @FatPom and his LO posts

Thanks mate, that means a lot. She’s doing really well. She’s got one XC left this year on Dec 1st at Bournemouth ( I think!).

I’ve floated the idea of her doing Dartmoor in a Day 30km next year. That would be mostly hiking, she seems up for it but very early days. :crossed_fingers:t2:

I’ve pulled out of the New Forest 20km on Dec1st but the RD has allowed me to put the entry fee toward the Arundel Trail Marathon in late January (ironocally, the same weekend as Arc!).

That will be the start of my SDW100 build.

974 beach sprint Tri today. 3rd race in the series.

The photo below is a little deceptive, it actually feels pretty chilly right now and there’s a strong wind coming in off the sea.

The swim course appears to include an inflatable obstacle section. And of course, be aware from rocks :man_shrugging:t2::man_shrugging:t2:

TBH wasn’t feeling this one much, but now I’m here am glad I entered. Race starts at 4am UK time so I guess it will be done and dusted by the time most TTers are up, not you @APM

Good luck fella

11m41, 32m25, 22m11. Second old man this time, found the run hard work especially. A guy called Ewan was almost 2 minutes faster. He’s just back from a little training camp in Kona where he went sub 11 though.

My P2 really was showing it’s age this morning but no point getting a new bike out here, think I’ll donate it to the Sheikh Faisal museum when we leave & get something new in the UK

edit: don’t like show-offy photos generally, but this one kind of captures the M50 scene
