Just seen the email about 2025 Cotswold 113 races, I do enjoy these if not the drive down.
Any chance of using these as the 2025 TT champs?

I think this is a good idea. I did the 113 this year and although I was bad the event itself was a crackin’ good fun event.

No, the ballot only opened today and I think there’s about 2 weeks for it, sounds like the odds aren’t much better than London.

It’s a bit weird though, you put your email address in then need to follow the link you get sent within an hour, it also needs your passport number.

Cheers mate. I hadn’t realised there was a lottery, if I went for it, I’d likely buy a charity spot and pay it out. A free chance is not to be ignored though

I think the charity places went first but that sounds like some weird bidding process. I’ll go with this and the 6* and keep my fingers crossed.
I think general entry via the ballot is around 160USD for overseas.

Ah I see. I did look at the site for charity but it didn’t really make sense. Looks like I’ve missed the UK based tour options as well,

That’s me confirmed for Copenhagen next year - deferred from this year.
I didn’t have cancellation/amendment on this years hotel booking but as a goodwill gesture they kindly moved my booking to next year. I had to take a guess on the 2025 race date and fortunately guessed correctly

Based on our friend’s good showing at IM Copenhagen, Mrs FP has helpfully suggested I do this race as my big 60th because it’s in school holidays.
One flaw in her plan is that she didn’t check to actually see if I wanted to do another IM

a friend at IM Frankfurt back in 2006 had a fecked knee so said he would do the swim, bike into central Frankfurt and call it a day rather than damage his knee further. Idiot went on to complete the event!
