If you are me, and get to a key point with tampered signs, it is 22km but yes, I know what you mean, standard course if not going off it is 110.5km (as bike is a bit short)

Although many IM courses are crazy short, the German ones for instance.

they just totally screwed up the last 226 with a half ar$ā‚¬d late changed run course. I almost did an extra lap in protest FGS. :sweat_smile: Iā€™m sure the Halfs are spot on now tho. I just need to stop being so bitter :rofl:

So, the FULL Iron changes from 2025 are

  1. the loss of Tribourne at Eastbourne, just a Half now after 5 good yrs
  2. the loss (change) of Ultimate IM to a ā€˜T150ā€™ variant: 3 / 117 / 30 k
  3. ATW Odyssey has moved from July to Aug (forced, by council due to another! event)

I rather hope IM Leeds and Outlaw donā€™t clash in 2026, ditto GeordieMan & Roadford Lake

letā€™s hope Roadford Lake is actually repeated, and Slateman ā€˜Ultraā€™ (140.6) actually opens for entries soonā€¦

I really donā€™t get this thought process (except for a " *Psy!ho!" like yourself), who is going to do two fullā€™s within 2 weeks, its a mute point for 99.9% of people.

Will you do both if a week or two apartā€¦ silly questionā€¦ of course you will. lol

I was gon a say Roadford Lake, but you referred to the full above. They normally run the half twice a year - in June and Sept.

Should also see Kernowman down in Penzance. Another half I think in June normally.

I think I saw sportiva events (who run Roadford) reviving Wimbleball as well. Will have to look up the dates

I remember doing a massive fist pump at the top of THAT hill on my last run lap as I was never going to have to suffer it again.

Maybe that was prematureā€¦..

Hadnā€™t heard of Keswick Conqueror, looks fun. Definitely added to the maybe list next year.

Itā€™s really well timed too if did want a bigger go for other races later in the year too, 4 weeks before slateman/6 weeks before Northumbrian

Yeah it catches my eye but same support team issue, so maybe Brutal instead. Donā€™t think I can get fit in time for this year so probably Helvellyn in an attempt to put a number on.

Yeah Iā€™d be willing to crew for Celtman, or be the support runner. Thatā€™s an offer. Iā€™ve raced it twice and thatā€™s my fill. Canā€™t face the 10Ā°C swim again.

You can greatly improve your ballot chances by subscribing to their X Points system, doing a winter training challenge, racing their Solo Point Five race etc.

Personally if I were to race ā€œXtremeā€ again Iā€™d go do do the Greek Hero on Corfu. At least youā€™d emerge from the swim without hypothermia.
