Don’t know if it’s already posted somewhere on here, but Ironman Wales date for 2026 is Sunday 13th September, so a week earlier than this year. Entries open Thursday 25th September 2025

Does the Celtman Solo Point Five count as a half Ironman? 20th June 2026. 1.5/85/23.7k. Bike leg has a wee hill.

And the same crew do the Restless Xtreme Gravel Triathlon which is sorta a half iron. 22nd August 2026. 1.8/50/25k. Gravel bike with wee hill.

And Ullswater Epicman is confirmed for 28th June 2026.

Steel man

A grass-roots middle-distance triathlon at Ellerton Lake & surrounding countryside. Features a 1.2mi (5km) swim, 58mi (93km) bike with moderate elevation, and 20km run. Friendly, well-supported and accessible.

That 5km swim should sort the wheat from the chaff

must be typo. I’ll drop em a line! It’s just a regular 1.9km sw1m, I diddit last yr.

FYI: On the 10th anniversary of the event, they were daft enuf to offer a 1-off full ironman distance option at Scorton. So they called it (confusingly!) “Double Steelman” :sweat_smile: . When I’ve begged for them to repeat this, it was a firm ‘No Never Again’, as it apparently was such a b@ll ache to organise / get marshals all day etc. :man_shrugging:
