Spring lakes - i will be looking for the flat lands long before then…

That said, i will be in the lakes from the 23rd as always…

First real test of enthusiasm today…I bailed out of the extended family Xmas day yesterday and slogged out the 9k…and felt tired and dehydrated. My calves are beginning to complain a little and the IT bands felt tight. I would say that this has prompted lots of post run rehab, but…

I will try and weigh in tomorrow and, although I didn’t take my stats right at the start, i am a rather portly 75 odd kg at present with 15% bf. Run VO2 currently sitting at 47 - i guess a lifetime low…down from 69.

Wow. I’ve seen people attempt for February but never get close, the cumulative distance just adds up too much.

For us mere mortals the 12 days of Christmas could be a good alternative. Or even an add-on to the Rapha 500 - Easy first week whilst cycling then 63km in 7 days
