I love Dolan, had a track bike from them but as i said i dislike all those bolt on storage options. Bike looks unbalanced and a bit of a mess
Looks like going touring
yep! It looks home made. Really ugly!
But i guess it depends on what you want - looks vs speed. Because in reality, how many everyday people are going to see any major benefit (a few secs over a 10hr IM ⦠who really cares!) over a £2k setup?
BUT if i had the dollar ⦠thatās a different question! I do really like that Canyon. Also like the new Scott.
Even as recent as IMUK 2019 I saw bananas, gels, tubs, pumps, co2, tubes, bottlesā¦
Strapped to bikes in all manner of weird and wonderful positions.
Your replies, whilst quite justified only highlight how spoilt we have become.
The Dolan comes in nardo grey, that might seal the deal, as my newer argon, which is probably a better bike just doesnāt workā¦!
I nearly bought a dolan disc road bike when i got the aeroad but the cost wasnt much off, 6 or 700. For half the price Id probably put up with those bolt ons if i was in the market for a TT bike. Is that basically the same frame as the Ribble?
Similar⦠but with disc breaks !
E119 is a great bike, but the storage / hydration are⦠what ever you can come with ā¦!
I donāt disagree and Iām very much lusting over thisā¦
say my canyon is back from 2012 model⦠food back strapped to top with velcro, speedfil system on a cage with a straw coming up around the stemā¦
It all works - and probably no less practical (a bit less aero). But then I love having a nice bike that makes you want to ride and look after. My last roadie did me good for 10 years and I still think it looks ace.
I certainly wonāt be buying this on a whim⦠whilst I can arguably afford it, I cant justify it. But I do WANT it really really badly
8k for a bike youāll ride a handful of times each year just seems that little bit OTT for a mid 40ās uncompetitive trafleet
Iām in the same boat ⦠I already have 3 tt bikesā¦
Time for a clear out.
I might be alone, but I simply donāt find Modern TT or Tri bikes good looking - I like a sloping top tube on a bike, but I do understand why horizontal is best.
This is a looker.
So wrong and yet so rightā¦!
I love that. Bianchi have always made beautiful bikes.
I had an original alloy specialzed Transistion that had a slightly sloping top tube, dont think I have seen anything sloping since then.
Exactly like this one, wish I had kept it.
Great bike but is it slightly triggering that the forks and seat post are at slightly different steepness?
(The bianchi 4 posts above I mean)
Iām usually one for odd stuff but I donāt like that. It looks like a folding bike, Iām expecting there to be a dirty great hinge behind his right leg.
Fook, that looks absolutely terrifying!
Balls of steel required to man that
ā¦which would be ripped off by the stem at the first pothole
I wonder if that would help my awful descending !
