Bike Candy (or not!)

Out of interest Matt, and for context, what is the price difference between the 2?

The Aerobike that he just build had a total investment of around £1100

The Canyon was an ex demo I bought direct from Canyon a couple of years ago, cost around £3700 and wheel upgrade was net £800 (sold original wheels)

oh wow, so a really decent price differential then! That’s really good going.

He got really lucky with the price on some of the parts. Amazingly most of the things he got had original invoices

That’s a great looking bike there Matt

Done well with di2 etc

yeah right. a nip over a grand for something decent with di2 is crazy! Guess it shows what you can do if a) you know what your’re looking for and b) you have the patience to wait for the right deals

Yeah for sure. I don’t have the patience.

I’m such a man child that when I want something, I have to have it now!

Must have also got serious gains from your shoes in that first photo :joy:

Well spotted

That rear mech is working hard; the chain is probably a tad short?

and the size of that downtube… are you SURE its not an ebike? :joy:

That was my first thought when I saw it

Now if I could build an 8kg ebike that could do 40kph for less then Ā£1100, I don’t think I would have to worry about money ever again

It would also be the onky way i’d ever take a KOM off you! :joy:

Wasn’t sure where else to put this. Browsing eBay (as you do) and saw this. My back hurts just looking at it.

Which way round you planning on sitting on it ?!

This is stretching my love of all things odd to new levels, I think even I’m going to have to admit it’s mingin’.
