Now this is Bike Candy. If I ever find one, it would have to end up in my collection, hung up on the wall as a piece of art
The only thing I’d be tempted to change is the super skinny fork as it doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the bike. Originality vs personal taste.
I’d certainly go with a carbon Blade fork, but is may be a one inch Steerer tube
Yep, those are really nice too. I think when you’ve got an unusual frame the other components can get lost but they wouldn’t.
I’d agree with the comment on the forks and a rear disc would round it off. I do have a soft spot for a Hed3 though, regret the day I sold mine, it was a clincher as well.
yeah, choices would be limited but I still think it could be improved with something like this, not fully bladed but a bit chunkier than the ones fitted.
I’ve got a pair of Hed3 tubs hung in the shed, never even ridden on them but they came up cheap locally and I couldn’t resist. Clincher ones go for silly money now.
Paging @Toyota_Crown …
@explorerJC had a Zipp beam bike iirc
I still do - it was on the office wall up to the lockdown…
I got some Spinergy RevX wheels too, those 4 spoke cookie cutter ones, Now banned , obvs! And 650s, obvs.
I got a daftish (super-rare) Softride MTB too, like this, and in good nick:
Wow
Some people do have taste.
I would imagine worth a few bob as well??
Thoughts on this??
No idea where he’s planning on riding that with that rear cassette, it looks the same size as the big ring!
looks nice. wonder if Decathlon will be selling it - they sell Van Rysel
I love the back half but not sure I’d trust those forks or headset
Is the saddle height fixed?
I saw an advert from Decathlon selling it so likely. Like Nick says, that front end looks very brittle for potholed British roads.
