They have a couple of top sprinters, not bad considering they only have a bumpy concrete track and no money! Just shows. Maybe the kids (parents) should be shown this as an example that buying success at a young age isnt necessary.

Sketchy riding in the scratch. Not shoulder checking, overlapping wheels, chopping. Not a great advert so far.

I just flicked over from the para Tri to the track cycling and the first thing I heard was “One of the riders ended up in the crowd”

They haven’t shown it. Camera was elsewhere but Matt Wall is the crowd they are saying.

Some dreadful riding on show. A guy i used to ride with went over the boards in track league, at LVV coincidentally turn 1/2 as happened there in last lap sprint. He had spleen damage, ribs, collapsed lung, right mess due to inexperienced rider swinging up in front of him

I’ve had a some close calls on the track, it’s my favourite form of racing but you do have to know what you are doing. I have no idea why they have speed events in these Games if they are allowing anyone to have a bash.
Keep it to timed or make it harder to qualify. Don’t confuse inclusive with incompetence, people will get hurt.

Matt Walls went over the barriers into the crowd and another rider was stretchered off the track, everything crossed for all involved.

interesting…the rules are sufficiently vague…so we shall see how this pans out…
the very thing triathlon wanted to avoid - that of not knowing who has won at the end of a race - is now happening…

I don’t think it’s that simple with the relays.
On paper yes.
But a chase pack could easily form on the bike and pull some time back.
