These Londoners moaning about cold, it’s been below freezing for a total of 3 hours all year, a low of -1. I guess as commuters there was a brief part of the 10th when they could’ve been riding before it got above 0, but clearly they’re all just soft!
Only 4 now after a couple of days in the heady 9’s though. But still not had any cold weather whilst we’ve seen photos of all the snow.

Road surface has taken a battering this winter, I’ve noticed how much shitter the surface is over the last fortnight.
If you’re not running bombproof 30+mm tyres I’d stick to Zwifting for a while.

There’s been quite a lot of freeze-thaw this January around here. The last two weekends here it has been freezing/snow, and midweek it was rain and up to 11 degrees!
Wishing we had snow here. Not a flake!! Just cold rain.
Roads are in a real mess on my usual 40 minutes commute but I still have knobbly CX tyres on so no real problems.

Felt like -9

Can’t imagine riding in those temperatures. -14oC here in Aboyne overnight and I’m rethinking my morning run now.

Ha ha ha - and you only did 65mins.
I did 4 1/4 hours on that over New Year and 3hrs at -2.8 on Sunday.
Weak Southerner. A bit of snow and cold and they’re crying for Mummy.

I just rode back from the childminder in shorts, no gloves on a 16" Giant ARX!
There was even a dusting of snow on the ground. And it was at least a 250m journey!

I only own two pairs of (non work) trousers. And they’re both (almost) skinny jeans that i wear when i’m going ‘out’!
I genuinely don’t have a pair to just wear out and about, with proper trainers. Probably a big part of that is laziness and not wanting to buy any!
I did buy a sweater today though after a lot of gentle nudging from Mrs GB haha

I’ve at least four pairs of Carhartt casual trousers.
About Six pairs of Edwin jeans.
A pair of Levi’s and a pair of Dockers.
I’ve then got about 8 pairs of casual shoes/boots (Grensons, Loake, Paul Smith, Dune, Clark’s, etc)
I’ve got five pairs of “smart” trainers (4 pairs of Common Projects and a pair of Veja’s)
And then 8 pairs of more casual trainers (Nike and Puma)
out and about ?.. what is this ?
