Cool would be turning-up to an MTB race on a 20 year old hardtail and smoking people on FS enduro bikes. Talent without pretention is cool.

Who’s loving getting home looking like a drowned rat? 
Fortunately around here, the downpours all seem to be in the afternoon/evening on the way home, rather than coming into work. I have taken to just spinning everything in the machine and drying it out for the next day; no washing required!
As the weather has been fairly mild riding home, I’ve just been using a Perfetto Light, and getting wet, but not cold (just use a base layer riding in). I’ve not bothered with socks either on the very wet rides home. Only Monday I did wear a waterproof jacket riding in, and just got sweaty anyway.
I must admit I’ve wimped out a couple of times. I left early on Monday before the storm arrived and worked from home in the afternoon. Yesterday I used the car.
I don’t mind getting wet, especially on the way home, but the combination of torrential rain, 40/50mph winds and dark unlit roads wasn’t appealing.

Missed out on the fun last night but it seems it was pretty similar to Monday evening judging by the ride titles on Strava.
The rain wasn’t too bad as it was quite mild but yeh that wind was no joke. Got blown across the road with gaps in between buildings. And block head/cross wind through Richmond park had me feeling like I was going backwards
I generally have a headwind in, and tailwind back home. Last night was a ‘breeze’ getting home even uphill 
Plus you notice the rain less as it’s on your back.
Thursday evening last week was the biggest drenching I’ve had so far this year.
Opposite for us in London. Normally always tail in headwind home

Depends which side of #LDN you live I guess. If you lived east side and worked central, you’d be okay? My direction of travel is generally WSW & ENE.
