If staffs and IMUK are culled, I’ll do it

Both 113 races sold out aren’t they?
My dear boy, you don’t let things like that get in the way.
Outlaw 2019 had sold out, too.
Little sweetener and Graeme will sort you out eh
Yep I am down to do the Classic. I would email Grahame and get yourself on the wait list. He is very good. Did the 113 last year and thought it was very well organised. Transitions we neutralised but other than that pretty much like doing a ‘normal’ race
Looks like there’s a ton of spots on the Classic.
Website is showing 149/1000 places taken up.
When is it? Tbh I’ve done this course so many times, not sure I could work up the enthusiasm this year.
Apologies. You are indeed correct @gingerbongo - loads of space!
11th July @Jorgan
Weird … all i could read there was
" i don’t want to get publically destroyed by yet another TTer after @Poet recently. It would ruin the last vestiges of credibility that i have on the site"

I’ve just checked the calendar and there’s nothing on it for that weekend.
I’m in Devon the week leading up to it though.
I’m game if others are
You will obviously have to pack your Gabbas if I get an entry in though
Since I purchased my Gabba, it travels to all races with me.
Superb piece of kit.
Awful for running marathons in

Zip chafed my stomach awfully at Outlaw and Helvellyn
The Classic is the weekend of Vitoria. If that gets scrubbed, I could be down for a TriTalk smashfest (if there were still spots).
Ah right, that will most likely be the weekend after, or same weekend of the Fan Dance Race; depending which weekend I get allocated.
You know, despite the Perfetto being such an awesome top, the only Tri I’ve ever used it i is actually a season opener pool sprint, where it’s cold. Just stick it on over the swimskin.
I could really have done with it in Roth!
I think the only year it absolutely honked it down at the Cotswold course was the 2016 113. The run was fun. Then in 2018 the 113 had ‘mistgate’ where we ended-up starting 90 mins late, waiting for the mist over the lake to clear. Then in 2019, I remember some northern sounding bloke wandering around transition asking people for batteries for his pedals
Just get that dastardly swim cancelled i’m all in!
July is aggges away
I’m genuinely considering this … not quite sure why! It’s 3 weeks before min GB #1 bday and our camping trip, so i won’t need to be getting training in around that period and can be the devoted father/husband. Also early enough that i may be able to sneak in a September outing of some sort as well when they go back to school!
Hmmm
It would mean having to train on a bike and not just ride for fun. I’m also as aero as a brick. I do wonder if i could borrow my mates stealth for a few weeks though if it doesn’t clash with his race season.
I’d need to at least do some swimming - but i have the sea on my doorstep, so no real excuse there. I wouldn’t be swimming properly lie 3 times a week or anything. But once a week to just get through should be enough. I could swim the 1.9km tomorrow if i wanted, just would not be pretty at all. I’d like to come out of the water not in a total state.
Imagine the forces of nature colliding if @Adam and @Jorgan did the same race
It would be as hot as the sun with torrential rain, biblical end of the world kind of stuff, cats and dogs living together…
Crossing the streams
Ah, you mean like the first year I did IM Austria, or the Erding Tri in 2011
Austria was about 35-38 in the afternoon, and on the run there was a huge thunderstorm, which felt like relief, until the sun burst back out and made the roads like a bloody steamroom! Erding was lovely and sunny, then out on the bike there was a huge hailstorm out of nowhere, luckily I was wearing glasses; I finished the bike with red arms…from the hail!
I’m just waiting for the fireballs and Ming’s laughing!
