Cheers bud, but definitely not desperate. Just getting my head turned!

And very funny you two! :joy: :joy:

My 945 is just over 3 years old but it depends on what happens with this OHR problem.

Don’t need a new one but that colour screen is likely to find me more free speed than Nike trainers :joy:

I need a new PC soon as well.

If you’re not desperate, I’d probably skip the 935, things have moved on but I was always happy with mine. The only reason I changed was that I wanted a watch that would get through a 100 miler without needing charging.

Said nobody ever :joy::joy::joy:

Who even buys PCs these days?

Twitchers, streamers and gamers.
Everything else can be done on a phone, or your over a decade old creaking personal laptop

I do very little on my phone unless I’m out. This is being typed on a 2011 MacBook Pro. Just bought Mrs FP a new laptop thanks to someone (forgotten sorry) calling out a deal on here.

Why squint at some tiny screen when I can make things easier for myself?

Old skool aren’t I :joy:

Windows 11 is EOL soon and my motherboard and CPU aren’t compatible with W11 as it stands.

Don’t like laptops, got an iPad for when I go away and I don’t get one from work as I don’t like WFH.

@joex my 920 is still going strong, could have featured in the tv version of HHGTTG

Until last year I had a 305 in my drawer that still worked just fine.

People who like running Zwift at 60fps for the least cost

How much?
I got an AppleTV for £60 and it looks just fine to me.

I’m usually watching YouTube anyhow.

But I’ll allow your use of a “PC” for that :joy::joy::joy:

Because you don’t know what it’s supposed to look like

There’s no way I’d spunk £££ on a pc just to see a shadow of a tree on Zwift. The game changer for me was a bigger screen. Having a TV in the garage running Zwift via ATV has been brilliant.

The bigger screen is great, plus I use it looking up DIY and moto stuff on YT whilst working in the garage. It wasn’t until I got the bigger screen I noticed there were sloths on the power lines in the jungle.

I can barely see where I’m going IRL, let alone on Zwift :joy:

The grass is lovely and green in my bubble.
If I don’t look outside of my bubble, I won’t know any different.
Happy happy, joy joy, happy happy joy :v:t5:

EDIT; I’m still playing Mario Kart on a Nintendo Wii and GoldenEye on an N64 here. So I’m okay with “graphics” - Zwift ain’t about that, it’s about the, well, I don’t know what it’s about really ! :joy:

I built mine with £30 donor office PC, £60 graphics card and stuck some RAM and an SSD in it I had lying around.

I get 60fps at the top level of detail for less money than a new Apple TV, not sure on used prices.

Nice. I’m not techy enough to do that. Ask me one about painting. :joy:

I posted above that I paid £60 for my Apple TV.

Now everyone has SSD and RAM “lying around” either, so you have to factor them in, surely.
Must be ~£30 for both of them, right/wrong?

So you paid £120 + time in building yours.
I paid £60 for mine, zero time. Plugged it in, works. Boom! £60 up and also got some free time

I paid more than that for my 4K ATV, I think it was over £100

Wifi & Ant+/Bluetooth dongle?

Said before, building a Zwift PC is a perfectly sound endeavour if you get enjoyment form the build experience and are geeky about your frame rates & shadow detail but it’s unnecessary & less convenient than ATV for Zwift training.

Always had you down as a Bowser type of guy.

Don’t know why.
