Café du Cycliste have some cracking deals today. I have resisted buying anything because I don’t need it. But it’s taking willpower!

Yeah I’m holding strong. Reviewed all the deals on sites I tend to use, then gone back to my list of minimum gear and bought nothing :+1:

I did buy some Castelli toe thingy for £13 a week or so back - life savers. And none of the horrible sweatiness of neoprene overshoes. Merlin.

is there a real need for the dual , just thought about getting for my road bike as a experiment

Depends. Is there a real need for a power meter?

If you just want a number to compare to ride for ride, then single sided is going to give you that. If you want to know actual power you are going to need to know how balanced you are and if that balance changes with effort or fatigue.

I have the dual, for easy efforts my balance is pretty much 50/50. For FTP type and above it skews 52/48 to my right leg, when I’m tired, that can increase to maybe 54/46. Does it matter? Well, if I didn’t know that and was just using left, then I’m going to be pushing >>ftp to try and hit my ftp number which is burning matches without realising. But now I know that is the case, so could compensate. To be honest I ride as much to feel as to power anyway, hence my original question, do you need power? It’s nice to look at after the fact.

Oops sorry, not sure that’s allowed under TT bylaws.

The answer is buy it, and work out the details at a later date.

These Zone 3 suits have been doing the rounds at the tri club. Probably a bit niche as we swim outside - but perfect for nights like last night with Baltic air temps. £20…

Most of our club are using Yonda & they’ve also got some good deals on right now.

Will I have to pay import duty and VAT? I suspect so

Direct, yes.

This is what I paid on Black Friday 2019

I’m similar, Vector Dual, had single and left only stages before.

Z1 and Z5+ 50/50

Threshold 52/48 and 54/46 when more tired.

Single skewed my threshold as a result Doubling the stronger off side drive chain value (or at least I think it was that way around) Either way benefited from dual because of this.

No difference going easy or extremely hard when I dont use power anyway, its rpe or all out
