This is the big mountain that Fran Millar has to climb to turn the company around. I wonder if she will succeed.

I did a couple of those.

I would be too.
Other brands don’t come close.

MAAP is okay. But breaks easily.
Pas Normal is for twiglets.

It does say a lot of this years losses were from the consolidation of distribution warehouses.

I do like their technical stuff as much for running, wear quite a lot of it, but I’ve got more than enough cycling kit which is probably their problem.

This is a cycling industry problem. Do we really need new bikes and kit EVERY YEAR??? They really need to look at this.

Positive EBITDA but a huge loss?

Sounds like the typical PE model where they’ll drown under their debt and fold in a year or two’s time

Remember those £300 Prime carbon wheels a few of us pounced on in the great jumble sale?

Not my set, a club mate on this morning’s spin.

Makes me nervous about mine

oof, what happened?

He hit the edge of an exposed cattle grid, exploded like a gunshot, sealant everywhere.

He was fine, Pissed off, but fine.

I think that could happen with almost any brand if hit just right/wrong.

You’d hope it wouldnt happen with Zipp Env or premium brands, but I know people that have killed them too… straight into an Alpine Mountain though.

Two pairs of hunt wheels myself, probably about the same grade?

Yeah agree with you, could happen to any wheel really, It was the explosive nature of the failure that shocked me most.

I think the original price of these was £800 a set. Obviously Prime/Wiggle are long gone so he will need to take it on the chin.

Would credit card not provide some cover?

Not a nice thing to happen. Lifetime warranty with Zipp though.

Can also add lifetime warrrenty with Hunt.

Endura also posting big losses now, hopefully they can weather the storm.

Does lifetime warranty actually mean your lifetime or a “reasonable lifetime “ for a set of wheels?

I seem to remember one bike manufacturer’s “lifetime” warranty actually being 5 years when you read the small print

Probably also have a lot of caveats within that 5yr ‘lifetime’ also

HED wheels is 5 years.

Hunt is ‘lifetime crash replacement’ original purchaser only. H_Care. +£79

I had it on one set 80/60mm but not on my 50s
