A TTT would be good, UAE would need to have a rethink!
Jonas needs to have recovered well overnight too, he put in a real hard effort yesterday.
Was in a race with him and many more on Zwift once - he beat me, as did most of the others
Sat in a meeting, so timed outā¦Pog default for me. Will have to wait until tonight and watch highlights on GCN+ and avoid Google news.
Iām sure Pog, Yates & Kuss are smashing it; with Pidcock bridging up
Yeah same. Sat in the office, but no meetings. So annoyingly. Couldāve had it on in the background if I were at home. Trying to decide whether I listen to it on the way home or just block the phone and watch it tonight (as Iām out this evening)
Im on a call buts boring as fuck so have the TV on in the background. I hope no one asks me anything as Im not listening
Whatās 2+2?
I had yesterdayās stage on in the background yesterday, but I also watched the ITV highlights.
I know itās difficult to condense the action into a one hour show, especially when it kicked off so far out, but you really lost the ebb and flow of the race with the way they edited it.
I dont have the answer to hand, will have to get back to you
Internet drop?
Fantastic. I was just thinking about how great it would be to be out there. Maybe next year for a day.
A bit easier to get up there than the Galibier
great way for Pidcock to announce his Tour presence but not entirely unexpected given his track record so far. makes you wonder what this guy can do in the near future given that heās already Olympic gold at MTB and World CX champ - and only 22.
Thatās the steep bit of the Buttertubs, isnāt it?
Thereās nothing easy about that
I think heās dissing Yorkshire cycling.
I was on Strines and a few other places that day. We went to cycle back to Sheffield, weāre waved onto the roads by the policeā¦about 20 minutes later, the stragglers passed us with the team cars
Coming into Sheffield, people were cheering us on, as we were all in our matching club kit
(I got the train back to Derby, they decided to cycle and all bonked and ended up in a pub to rehydrate before continuing back)
This was before most people had GPS on their bikes, so we just sort of headed up to Hathersage, then made a beeline for Strines, sort of making it up as we went along.
Absolutely ace day out
First time the Tour came to the UKā¦yes Plymouth. A fine christening gift
I also went to watch it in '94, when I was a stude in the area. I couldnāt believe how fast they zipped up the hill we stood on. Indurain was a blur!
Saw the Milk Race a couple times, not really that popular with the crowds
