They were raided last year as well.
all done at last, ready for lantern rouge as usual. only ever do well ‘ish’ in the Giro.
Yeah, I went with Quintana too It’s his year, I can feel it.
I feel like i’ve not been tactical or planned enough for this one. I must admit, i prefer the Velogames one. Balanced team, set and forget. Then it’s the luck of the tour, just like in real life.
I guess everyone has Pog. So if he doesn’t win, it’ll be down to the odd 1 or 2 that risked it elsewhere. If he wins, it’ll just cancel itself out.
selecting him a stage captain on the right days as well could have a big influence
Lots of the big names seem to be going off quite early in the order. I think they’re expecting some rain and strengthening winds later in the afternoon.
Ganna, WVA and Pogacar are going off 64th, 65th and 66th.
I usually finish in the bottom half iirc; so I’m trying something different this year.
Problem I have is the TdF is all I really watch so beyond the big names I have no idea who is in form etc. I tried to read through the course and plan some swaps but I got bored.
Initially I didnt put Pog in, but then changed my mind.
Just done a quick & dirty Velogames team. What’s our League code on that?
Rider choices don’t seem as good as TdF site.
@Whisk manages to pick the days winner…still comes last
Woohoo hooooo.
I’m normally right at the bottom end. So in honour of this rare feat, may I please present the current ranking table (in true zwiftpower style)…
I considered a strategy like yours, load up with big names and then fill with snotters. Should have done the same.
Notice any similarities between @joex and my team?
Bissegger. Supposedly my secret weapon.
It’s going well.
I thought you couldn’t see each other’s teams before the stage finishes?
I take it there are more than one similarities…
You can only see them when each day closes to entries. But we are operating the same strategy, if not the same riders. Today went okay
“ Lampaert will be able to continue celebrating over the next few days, and might well reach his native Belgium on stage five still in the lead of the race.”
Are there any KoM points available today?
I see the jersey is currently “riderless”
There’s 3 cat 4 climbs today so a couple of points up for grabs, probably a strong rider rather than climber as they’re only about 6% average. Looks like a couple of km along a bridge in the run-in to the finish which the artistic tv directors will probably like.
If it’s windy, today will be carnage. Could be a very nervy stage with nobody wanting to get caught out.
