Fuck my life
Are the pin holes on the watch damaged? Seems like something properly wrong there.
Time for a new watch maybe, and a bike
Are you The Incredible Hulk?
Sounds like a couple of new watches could drop very soon, 965 and 255.
965 might include the posh new screen that’s on the Epix 2.

I guess you mean 265?
I’m kinda in the market for a new watch, would a 255 or a 265 (when it is released) have a more accurate wrist HR sensor than whats on my 735xt?
Whoops, yes fat fingers!
One quote was that the 255 is currently getting discounted to clear stock.
They only came out in June 2022 didn’t they? That seems a very short gap between models?!
Think so, but I got the impression the 955 in particular wasn’t a big update from the 945.
This sounds a lot bigger if it does have the new screen, also talking about ECG but I think that’s a bit gimmicky TBH, although I know the Apple Watch has it.
It does seem like a short interval between new models. That can’t be good for sales, can it?
People either delaying purchasing because they think a new model might be coming or buying the “old” model at a discount when the new model comes out.
255 is the watch I had bookmarked to buy once my 735xt gave out.
My first 735 died of water damage two years after purchase. Garmin’s free replacement has been going strong almost without fail for pretty much three years now. Surely it’s days are numbered now!
My battery went to shit on my first 735xt, Garmin replaced it and its still going strong too. I’m the same and had the 255 down as the replacement. I think I’ll hang on until the 265 comes out which seems imminent.
Yeah i’ve had my Forerunner 245 sine Nov 2019 and it’s never missed a beat to be fair. The battery isn’t quite what it once was, as to be expected. But at the same time, i’ve not done any long ultras or anything in ages, so it hasn’t been an issue.
Coupled up with my Edge 530, weirdly that i bought almost exactly a year after the 245, it’s a great little ecosystem. For the odd time i may need them, i don’t think i’ll ever get a Fenix or the beefy tri version. This will do just fine. It’s a great value for money watch. Cost me £209, and i probably had some cashback on that that bought it under £200.
I’ve probably jinxed it now and it’ll break in a week! I think i’d be highly likely to stick to the Fr2XX series as a result. The 265 does sound good.
YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW WATCH GB. YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW WATCH GB.
DC Rainmaker just posted about the Venu 2 getting ECG app and that no other current watch has the necessary hardware to do it, so logical that there will be some new versions coming soon with hardware changes.
Whether the rest of the feature set will be changed much, who knows.
For the general public and less serious/short distance triathlete market, Apple Watch is certainly giving Garmin something to think about too.
Wonder how accurate the thermometer is?
1155? Looks like 542 to me.
yes realised that too late ![]()
Anyone else’s swimming pace graphs gone missing from Garmin Connect (Android)?
It’s not on the page with the other graphs (strokes & swolf) and if you click on the little graph icon next to pace on the first page it just brings up a blank screen with 3 little buttons/circles that don’t do anything.
Yeah, blank screen for pace & swolf on Android, but I’ve got pace, swolf & strokes on my laptop.
