Divide its volume by its cross-sectional area, your welcome.

I didn’t mean literally the eye… it was just a lazy way to describe the whole vision system, photoreceptors, nerve impluses, brain etc. Different vision systems are sensitive to different wavelengths of light

I mentioned Ants :ant: as some have trichromatic vision and most are sensitive to uv and green light. They are insensitive to blue light, or so Ive read. They see the sky as polarised light.

Anyway the sky is mainly grey in the UK or is that clouds and not the sky, or are clouds part of the sky?

Well it is the main element in the atmosphere that scatters light so I guess thats part of the answer.

I get an orange sky then.
