Humanoid Robot Wars?
There is virtually zero drug testing
I think there is more now ?! Elites only I think ?
It’s a joke .. people openly competing at a high level openly taking peds ( or stuff you couldn’t take for any Olympic sport) and people on social media defending it ..?!
It’s crazy and sad
oh, i don’t know…the bags from one sport were good for a while and worth every one of the 40000 or more pennies..
yep..almost as bad as cycling…
how long did Crash Fit last?
none of these things are new, just a new badge comes along, makes it more social friendly and moves on. Hywel Towel was doing this stuff 20+ years ago
wasn’t he a t towel back then?
before he grew up into a full towel
yep…
Wasn’t pog the most tested athlete in the world in 2025?
I really don’t think it’s anything like cycling ?!
Ultra fit comps
I did two he won five on the bounce.. it is different .. ish .. much more emphasis on running
But that 800m run at 10% in comps .. I think it was 9th out of the 10 stations was awful.
None of it was as bad as wall balls though !
It’s a good sport and will continue to grow as it’s much more user friendly than lots of other events.
You need trainers and £150 ish.
That’s just what Lance said…
Agree, I don’t think large numbers of amateur cyclists are doing PEDS, in same way gym people
How about that Amateur stage bike race in Spain where the testers turned up and like 70% of people dropped out that day.
(I made up 70% but it was way over half)
I wonder how far some of these legends would get on a military arduous course.
Testing is different now ?
Or they are all using stuff they can’t test for ?
You think pog has used peds his whole career like Armstrong did ?
I wouldn’t 100% know the answer to that but I’d go with a hard no if pushed.
Strangely it’s probably the unpaid hyroxers that are the problem here .. they live in a world were drug use is normal usually fir the mirror rather than the clock .. it’s a very small easy step to put a chip on, pose for the pics, do your best and carry on taking what you did before!
It’s crazy
Tarzan assault
Fear of heights would be the major drawback and getting stuck behind people that are !
Endurance course
It’s 6 miles iirc ? But horrible ground and some of the obstacles are tough when you are knackered
The sheep dip is bad in winter ( I was lucky) hitting 6/10? On a large target while you are still breathing heavy is “ difficult “ severe all good runners so walked the last k as we were way under 1:13.
The 30 miler
I think most fit very fit people could do this from fresh with depleted sleep, fatigue from test week injuries blisters etc maybe not so much.
As you know these tests are 90% mental
The people finishing in the top percentiles…I think you’d be surprised. The vast majority are now not really your old typical ‘gym bro’. Having literally come back from a week with a load of them, 18min 5km is very much ‘average’. I think the thing a lot of people mistake with many of them, is alot have come from purely body building and then moved into almost mainly endurance while just maintaining on the strength side. The typical training regime, is a couple of threshold/track runs a week, some easy runs and tons of Erg work, and a couple of strength sessions to keep that ticking over. Add to the fact ‘endurance sport’ in general and has become hugely popular
I tried to blag it into the Citadel with the kids when I was back home; I was rejected as expected. You need a host and specific site pass to get in anywhere now!
