Ideas for the future of Ironman

Got our options already, defer to next year or full refund.

No chance I’m coming back here :joy: but as I entered in 2024 I’m expecting the refund from then, although I had to pay for a Spanish day licence.

@bbt67

Edit: they probably had little option, couldn’t rearrange this year. I did partly expect them to offer something like Oman but a straight refund is quicker and people can go where they want.

Full refund. Put it toward something more reliable, like a Maserati.

Not sure what to do.

Refund and Tallin?

Is it Kona this Saturday? :man_shrugging: Not sure I’m engaged any more. Hopefully Andreas Raelert finally gets the win he deserves.

If you take the deferral I doubt you’ll get any transfer or refund options for 2027, if you don’t you’ll pay more for any race :man_shrugging:t2:

Ha, a reliable Italian sports car

Yes.

Chat will be in full effect no doubt as we debate things like Maurten moves, the Roka run course and the (insert obscure swim brand) swim course. I long for the days of a Ford Explorer floating in the middle of the Pacific as they swim past.

Ugggh, yes about an extra 120 EUR (just over I think)

968 EUR for Tallinn (which I keep missing the second n off)

Edit: Think the refund is 837.58 EUR

I guess the Spainish day license is not refundable but who knows.

Hoka Swim course then.

Salomon run course from next year.

Or it is the Rouvy swim course, I think I cycled the swim in a pedalo

lol, you couldn’t make this up for the race in Versailles, first race cancelled due to extreme heat, now their telling athletes to prepare for cold weather :face_with_spiral_eyes:

A noticeable drop in temperatures has been recorded over the last 24 hours, with cooler conditions currently forecast for race day.

We encourage all athletes to plan accordingly and pack additional layers for the bike segment, such as arm warmers, shoe covers, a light wind vest, or other cold-weather cycling gear.

Based on current conditions, the swim is also likely to be wetsuit mandatory, with final confirmation to be provided prior to race start.
