Yeah, amazing @Mr-me, well done!

What’s the course like in general? Seems a fast one? My two clubs mates went 9:36 and 11:18 which are both pretty speedy!

Fantastic result @Mr-me

Hey chaps, thanks so much for the messages - means a lot.
Totally brutal day for me. I’ll write something a bit more detailed tomorrow but in short I just didn’t have good legs today. Was even considering throwing the towel in after 2 hrs on the bike. Bit of pro plus livened me up a bit but nothing was coming easy today. Think my year has just been 5 weeks too long, I was ready in early September and didn’t leave myself anywhere to go so just been getting stale since then. So all things considered I’m really pleased I managed to gut it out and salvage a decent performance.
Great course, very little drafting - although very hard to get into a rhythm in the mountain section.
Best of luck tomorrow @Sowler i’ll try and give you a cheer if I can spot you.

Great effort @Mr-me. Got to be happy with that time! Annoyingly I was right on the finish carpet watching but nipped back to my airbnb to get some stuff for a swim and missed you!

FTFY

Have a good day

Good luck @Sowler!

Good luck :+1:

They’re in the water. Brownlee in 4th so far.

Big choo choo forming on the bike.

Ditlev has shelled the run studs but only has about a minute.

Lucy Hall leading the women, Kim Morrison second.

Our female strength in triathlon generally is ridiculous.

I’m only following one other guy and it turns out Sowler is only 14s ahead at the first bike mat. :slightly_smiling_face: It’s on!

I think Brownlee has moved up to second, 30s behind Ditlev at 10.8km. Would a good scalp for his first half.

What happened to Stornes?

Looks like the French fella has closed quickly to Johnny

What happened to Brownlee? Lost four places at the finish…?

Amazing sprint finish. You could see Johnny B was spent and you could see the Brazilian guy was burying himself to catch him. Must have made up 50m in the last 150m. Taking down a Brownlee must be a pretty cool feeling

Well done @Sowler, I can imagine your previous weekend exploits (HM/M) made that hard work?:grin:. Looked like a strong finish to the run.

5:34 time. Will give a longer report later. Swim was horrifiicly slow as usual. Bike was good. It’s hilly! And being at the backdue to the swim meant I was overtaking pretty much everyone. No more than 5 must have come past me. Run, stomach started playing up again and my legs were just feeling completely blown. Last 2 weekends have finally taken their toll.
