Is it a quick course or just a loaded field? As someone who will definitely be a hopeless backmarker the 15h 45 cut off would make me stressed, the additional hour might be needed for crawling the last 4 miles 
A bit of both. It is a fast course (mainly the swim is a really easy single lapper, and the bike is fairly flat on a good road surface), hence the reduced cut off, but the field is also generally stacked.

With any luck the adrenaline will kick in over the next ten minutes as the elation of the finish line starts to over come the pain and exhaustion.

Yes thanks all for following our day out in sunny Copenhagen. Looking forward to doing my report and seeing what we all thought of it. Knees suffering now and walking tomorrow will be misery and we are in a 3rd floor apartment. Boat trip and then tivoli gardens tomorrow
