Club Gloria Izaro. 5 minute walk to the start. Large apartments, air con. Nice bar. Half board, good food.
Full of triathletes though so you can have everything.

I stayed at Club Oceano for my Lanza. Nearly perfect and pretty reasonable.
It was an eclectic mix of Brits abroad having full English breakfasts with beer by the pool and triathletes.

When do entries normally open?
Not yet really. Going to start ramping the bike mileage up once DIY projects are finished so hopefully before November. Fingers crossed the Achilles rehab is working, up to 8.5 mile run with no reaction yet.

I am just waiting for it to openā¦ At some point, Nirvana stated it was the weekend of May 21/22 2022 but then removed it.
Have booked Club Las Santa for a week in Feb (Long Course Training Week) to do a recce of the bike course

Registration still not open yet have seen 21st may listed but not confirmed yet but emailed Ironman lanzarote during the week but no response yet. Looking to book flights etc. whatās the chances for a move later in the year due to the 70.3 move to march ? Probably not but still late to open
Itās going to move to October and be the Ironman World Championship when Kona gets pulledā¦ā¦

Iāve an entry deferred from 2019. Would be useful to see the date confirmed.
EDIT: I see that Sports Tours International have it advertised for May 21st 2022.

Meh if I book those dates and the race moves Iāll sack it off and have a family holiday with a bit of cycling thrown in Iām only doing it because I invested the Ā£Ā£Ā£ on entry in 2019 and donāt want to waste it. A change in date yet again is probably fate trying to tell me it is really not destined to beā¦

Just had a email through from IM lanzarote confirming they are working through deferrals etc and are planning for the 21st May hope to open soon for registration.

The date is live on Ironman website but registration not open yet. I booked my flights and accommodation last week. Now for the hard winter training
