Yeah you can use historical weather, probably works fairly well for Lanza as the climate is quite predictable

@Adam not cyberstalking you, much, but there is a path round the caldera of this volcano which is about 1km and makes a pretty spectacular running track
Also definitely worth running east out of Playa Blanca on the path to the beaches at Papagayo. Absolutely stunning that way.
If you fancy 500 vertical meters of dusty rocky pain then there’s a path to the top of the volcano called Hache Grande out that way too. A pint of cruzcampo never tasted so good as after that particular jaunt.
Maybe you know these things already, just making some recommendations in case not

Made a beeline straight for the volcano 
Going to head back down to the beach today and swim in the little walled section At playa flamingo. Spotted some folk down there having a dip in skins
If only I didn’t have the kids and I could spend five hours out on the bike each day eh!
