Ah good to know thanks. A mate suggested that Nuffield might do one with self referral.
A colleague’s wife has just one done, it was £350 for the scan but they needed a £250 consultation first and another £250 post scan appt to find out the results.
yeah I get that.
It’s not like I just jumped into that session, I’ve been doing that for months, but it is a hard session and it’s highly likely that’s what’s happened.
Physio was happy there’s no tear, and as is usual highlighted some poor mobility which could have contributed to it.
Hows he so sure its not a tear? Might not be muscle but could tendon? I’m only asking as I’m many months into a long lingering groin issue. I’m going for a scan on it tomorrow to get a definitive answer.
Groin update. Saw the doctor. Private hospital health care is the way to go for these things I tell ya! Reckons its tendinopathy in one of the three adductor muscle tendons. Either inflamed or torn. If its inflamed it can be cortisone injected and should fix it fairly quickly which is the most likely. Tear, less likely and can’t be injected and will just need loads more rehab. MRE scan next week sometime to determine which.
Not so much an injury but I’m fairly sure I’ve got a couple of chilblains on my right hand, index and next finger, one is right on the knuckle and pretty sore.
The cold, damp garage probably hasn’t helped. Hopefully they’ll go soon as it has warmed up a bit, although one has been there about a week or so.
not quite injury, but I’m at Solihull Hospital tomorrow to have some surgery on my face to get rid off some small basal cell carcinomas (caused by sun damage). Having to go to Solihull as that’s one if the few places “close” to me that does Mohs microsurgery (google it for details). Got a call on Monday as someone had cancelled so snapped it up rather than wait months more.
