Injury List- do any parts of you still work?

But so much better than the alternative

Grrr! My shoulder really hurts. I am right back where I was, except Axa have cut me off, the doctor said no more injections. We have moved to Vitality so I could start a new claim, but I honestly dont know what other treatment to seek. Months of physio did nothing, steroid injections work great, for a few months.

Bang goes any attempt at IM Lanza next year with it like this.

Only thing I am praying on is actually every one of my little niggles is also hurting at the min, wonder if I am just a bit inflamed all over, not sure if thats a thing, wishful thinking

How do you educate your glute?

By sitting it down and giving it a good talking to

Don’t want to get left behind I suppose

On the floor, lie on your back in a comfortable position with legs stretched out, and see if you can tense the glutes, then see if you can tense them separately. I couldn’t do this for ages. Put my hands under them to feel if they fire up.

I believe that they become lazy (there’s another fabulous word  )

Wasn’t really ass-kin

Visit to hospital today as penultimate ( I hope ) checkup. Apparently it’s going well, finger also (not pictured).

Nurse said still no swimming cycling or running until I visit next week.

However, nearly 3 weeks on, I may just have a dabble at running tomorrow and see how it goes and whether there’s major swelling. Stupid, or sanity?

Cycling better to avoid impact and jiggling around?

18 months of b@stard knee issues… Sort the and straight into double Achilles flare up out of nowhere .

Tried a few runs on treadmill, painful but manageble. Attempt to run outside and agony.

Really f#£ked off. Another season to right off.

Sorry to hear that @mw22

Martyn Speight at Wharfedale Clinic sorted my knees out (dextrose injections x 3) and also gave me the calf rasies both straight and bent knee over a step with rucksack and 10% of body weight to keep the achilles issues at bay.

Both worked so far although he was a bit enthusiastic and talked about 2 x 25 on each leg… I found that 25 on both legs together at same time worked for me without aggrevating.

Any achilles issues for me usually come from tight calf’s

And, for me, my bum not activating or contributing to my stride.

calf rasies both straight and bent knee over a step
[/quote] (on the stairs) each night before going to bed increasing by a few reps each night for a few weeks has definitely worked for me on a couple of occasions with sore Achilles, so season could be saved :+1:

My Achilles also better with some regular yoga - which I then tend to stop as soon as it feels better and the cycle repeats

I’ve got myself into a bit of a state worrying about the ‘what ifs’ and my calf for this weekend. Now it’s 2`45am and i have not slept a wink. boo

Not sure what time I fell asleep but I know it was after 4.40. Typically, I have a tone of meetings today ahead of my two days off. I will be ‘actively listening’

I’m pretty red and mildly sunburnt today. It’s traditional here the first day the sun appears. If I were in the office there’d be lots of red noses.

I’ll spare you my red flip flop feet.
