Mine is really weird to experience. There are bits missing but there is no gap. It’s like my mind has merged the edges together, so a face will only have one eye . A sentence will be apparently misspelt.
I already think Im not aware of other stressors, so I suspect another part of me is dealing with the other physical symptoms rather than them not happening.
The treatment/medicine is something you have to continually take, so I suspect with only occasional symptoms I won’t be prescribed.
A guy I know of had similar symptoms and investigations led to an MS diagnosis. Not suggesting that’s the case here but it’s definitely worth getting it, erm, looked at.
@GRamsay yeah, went to a&e Sunday evening after pain and swelling got worse. Ultrasound Monday confirmed clot in the Basilic vein @jeffb yeah, related to surgeries for breaks. Big risk factor for clots is surgery over 90 minutes and considering i had 2 within 11 weeks it moved me up the risk list
They put me on blood thinners Sunday and will be on them for at least 3 months…
Ive had this on and off problem with my neck. My muscles get tight and it pulls on the meck and when really bad gives me a tension headache.
A chiropractor years ago told me one of my vertebrae was twisted.
Anyway sometimes if I sleep on it funny or dont us my pillow it gets really bad. This usually happens when I drink too much.
Its happened two nights ago, but heres the annoying part. Ive not had a drink for a week, and Ive been in my own bed the whole time. Why have you done this now you bastard.
Tried ice, heat, deep heat, massage gun, TENS. Manual massage, foam roller, hard ball.
Going to have to go and get a sports massage to get all the muscles to relax.
I went with a bad back once, apparently i had one leg longer than the other and she made them the same length i went to physio the following week instead, guess what a mobility and conditioning program worked
as it happens I do have one leg longer than the other due to osteomyelitis when 10 and the lower leg growth during puberty overcompensating in length and thickness. If I sit on a flat surface with both knees together you will see my left knee is about 2cm higher than the right. It’s why I always favoured running on the L hand sides of roads so the camber drop meant my hips stayed relatively level and was more comfortable.
Oh yeah, lots of people have a leg length difference. It’s the notion that they can adjust the pelvis and sort it out, or that it suddenly becomes the cause of pain that I have trouble with.
frankly I’ve learned to live with mine and the body soon adapts. it’s never really stopped me doing anything or hindered any movements although in later life I now do suffer some sharp L side back pain in the upper pelvis area which could be caused by years of misalignment or - as I suspect more in my case - playing 30 years in the front row!
I had a chiro in Oz trying to get me to sign up for $$$$$ of treatment for ‘sublaxation’ adjustments with some method called ‘Reactor’ or something and he had a ‘click clack’ gun.
I sounded like complete BS, so I bailed.
I get occular migraines frequently. Normally caused by bright light (PC screens or sunshine) and dappled light is guaranteed to bring them on. When I get an occular migraine when running, I cannot see the ground as my vision is blurred. Brought it up with my optician and they didn’t seem too bothered about it. I can feel one coming on right now. Generally get one at least once a week.
