Ironman Frankfurt 2019

Hamburg is not a bad idea. Could stop at the beaches in Northern Belgium which is lovely if the sun is out…

2 years ago, when I did Vichy it was 36 degrees, however, there were sprinklers everywhere, at the aid stations, people spraying from gardens - basically it was not too bad as you could stay wet pretty much the whole time. In my opinion, the Vichy run course is great, it was my first IM and really enjoyed the whole experience. I think that the difference running in 36 degrees and 38 degrees is significant as it is just over the tipping point where you cannot maintain a sustainable temperature

Hi did any of you who raced this year get a priority link sent to them, i am a tri club member but have not received one,if you have can you let me use it before the prices gp up
cheers

I am doing Lanza next year. Its at the start of the half term, We went last year for holiday when I was supposed to be doing the IM. Kids loved it.

Will consider that. The only issue is that only gives me 2 weeks recovery for Triathlon X, but then I could just do the swim and Fred Whitton and be there to support my friends… (which is more appealing)

Hit 40 at Vichy when I did it. Not a bad place for a long weekend and a couple of campsites nearby. But…it’s mostly non wetsuit if that’s a factor and they’ve changed the bike course now I believe. It was a super quick course previously.
It was also somewhat underwhelming in terms of local support compared to others. I enjoyed it but it’s not one I’d return to…

anyone know the date of frankfurt ironman in 2023

Probably 25th June
