yeah, its not bad is it. Pragmatic given what little is known right now.
Only downside for me, is that if my A race, Copenhagen gets deferred until 2021, I’m screwed… as it would be the weekend before my daughter’s wedding, and I’ve not got cahoonas big enough to even suggest that to my better half, let alone think i’d get away with it!
My take on their statement though, is that they’ll do their best to help if that proves to be the case.
I looked at that just before I started my turbo. I get off 90mins later, and the first two races are already postponed. Sign of thinks to come I imagine
Andrew Messick strikes me as a good guy; I think Ironman (WTC) have become more customer-minded during his tenure.
That said, it was very messy during the Providence Equity days, and the forced takeover of the franchised events; not to mention the blood feud with Challenge. But the customer generally is oblivious to that.

Flights to Lanza cancelled by Jet2 for now, far from ideal, hopefully they’ll be back by May

Doesn’t the flight cancellation fit in with the 15 day Spanish lockdown ?
All being well it will be limited to that
Just got back from a week in Lanzarote ,was suprised how quickly it went into lock down .the whole week we had not heard or seen anything virus related

I just got an email from the dive school I used out there - mega lock down it seems.
Yeah person who runs the villa I’ve been to out there said on FB that its total lock down. Schools were closed on the announcement of the first case.
Guess with no flights and no tourists a lot of places would be dead anyway.

I just realised if the race is put back to 2021 there’s little chance of getting a spot with everyone being transferred over.
Fairly sure it has been under-subscribed for a good few years now so you should have a chance I reckon
Yeah it hasn’t sold out in years.
There’s a choice to transfer to Vichy or Portugal. The safer bet is to defer to next year and I could always enter something else if I think the tides about to turn

Which is it???
I would say canceled…but lots of annual events are stating they are postponed until next year
