I’m sure they’ll sting you for your bike
I believe in only buying what people really want to sell you. With Ryanair I would probably hire a bike instead. And buy clothes at my destination.
Cheaper innit!
According to Athlete’s guide, they are still having an awards ceremony on Sunday
That is so Jack Reacher
JoeX said nothing
The usual routine is Kona allocation/roll-down on Sunday morning and then awards party, event video and fireworks on Sunday night.
All of that happens at CLS, so make sure you have a car or you’ve booked your transfers.
I can confirm they Joex is not 6ft6 and 250lbs or blonde. He may or may not be able to kill 15 armed men, in a small room with his hands tied behind his back.
Is he into Scientology?!
Perfect teeth?
Wednesday to Wednesday. That’s how I normally roll for IM Lanzarote.
Maybe next year (or the year after!)
Now Tapering for Lanza.
I am fitter than I have ever been.
Cycling is a real weapon, I am confident that I can square up to any other cyclists in my AG
I am confident in my run
My swim is progressing well, I may lose 10 minutes to the FOP but confident I can regain any losses on bike and run
I am injury free
I am lighter than I have ever been
Mentally I am ready for this
What an awesome position to be in and very well deserved, you’ve put the work in.
Really looking forward to seeing how this pans out for you - reckon you’ll be shredding it!
Most on our IMUK group are doubting themselves, worried, and basically scared, I’d include myself in that number.
A good few first timers, a few there first tri !, I know… not ideal.
I put your post up, saying this is how you should be thinking.
You’ve done the work, seen the results and I hope you get the small amount of luck We all need to have the perfect race.
wonderful confidence. I’m really looking forward to tracking you on race day now!
Thanks for all the comments. Who knows what will happen on race day, however, I have done all I can do to get ready. A bit of luck and the perfect race, would be a bonus
None of us are professional athletes, we all have families, work, new jobs, houses to restore and many other constraints on our time. Corona Virus has added a massive complication over the past 16 months.
I am so happy to be racing again, I am pleased that I have maintained my training and worked around everything else that is going on
Good luck Matt, when you have prepared as you have any adversity can be overcome, you have done the work time to ice the cake!
Really nice to hear someone just sound positive. I hope all the logistics of getting there go smoothly and you get to see what you can really do. It’s going to be exciting to see!
You’re going to have “The Headmaster” of TriTalk watching you on his pre-race day.
I cannot wait to see how you get on!!!
