Ironman Lanzarote 2021

Eh???
So I can fly out to Lanza (Amber)
But then fly from Lanza to Majorca (Spain to Spain, so no quarantine - I’m guessing?)
Then as Majorca is currently Green, I can just fly back from there with no quarantine requirements?

Bizarre

You have to stay there for 10 or 14 days.

Remember the UK is more restricted than most of Europe / US

As long as you spend enough time in Majorca, so you can say no when asked “have you been to any of the following in that last 10 days?” There is a cottage industry of stop-over places offering cheaper and less restrictive ways to spend your 10 days than in a hotel at Heathrow.

Is there also another cottage industry offering ways to enter the US?
Meaning you’ve not been on UK soil in the past 14 days…

Same one works now doesn’t it? Balearics not so nice in October though.

So jealous!

Does the fork just pop off then?
Interested in how you’ve put it together so fast!

Looks epic :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I hope you haven’t damaged that hedge.

Are they the only wheels allowed in Switzerland?

Seriously though, that looks superb :ok_hand:

Me too but realistically what can you fit in there? Must be a very short emergency bottle? Not too easy to get out, certainly not back in.

Best of luck Matt. I’ll be tracking. Looking for inspiration for next year.

Have an awesome race @Matthew_Spooner, time to reap the rewards of your efforts! :muscle:

I guess you have something planned already, but get down to the beach one morning for a practice swim. The guy from swim Lanzarote was running a guided tour a few years ago which really helped me…we did a few practice mass starts with faster swimmers at the back etc. Not so important now it is rolling start but getting an idea of currents and sighting points on the shore is worthwhile.

EDIT: just checked swim Lanzarote FB page and seems he is in Scotland at the moment…usually a few people down there though :grinning:

From Strava, it looks like Matt has already swum a loop of the swim course, cycled up the donkey track and back and run half the run course
