Good luck, hope you all get round safely and not too slowly

Enjoy peeps!

No live coverage because it’s an AG race only?
Or have I missed the live feed?

Yep, best of luck to you all :+1:

Best of luck to all

Fogarty put in a 5:11 bike leg :scream::scream::scream:
And he’s a biker :bangbang:
He appears to be massively ahead.

@Chriswim with the 4th best swim split :ok_hand:t4::+1:t3:

Well…@chriswim finished 20th OVERALL with a run split to make you weep (3:19:25)
Can’t see where he is in his AG. EDIT: 4th in M25-29
But that’s phenomenal.

Looks like @explorerJC did his planned DNF

@Mungo2 is still running strong at 11hrs with 9km to go :+1:t3::ok_hand:t4:

Someone I know regular IM finisher, never DNF’s, consistent strong and solid. She’s done Lanza, several Wales, several Bolton’s, 3 x Kona, and Cork back in June etc.

DNF’d today, made bike cut off by 3 mins then sacked it. Course must be really something for that.

A few at the end that got cut…
Without being elitist or nasty they weren’t big people who you would think would struggle on the uphills…
First full so made the usual mistakes
It’s not my type of course.
That run split is incredible …

It really is bad…

Thanks and well done to everyone. Might attempt a write up tomorrow when more time but yeah a shocking (in the good way :joy:) performance and actually a wonderful day out after all the build up.

Saw Fogarty while I was stuffing my face with finish line pizza as he was talking to the guy I was sat with. Can’t quote me on this as I didn’t properly listen, but think he may have said something along lines of toughest bike course

Phenomenal support throughout, both generally and had a lot of friends make the trip through as a surprise, but a shout out to @PCP crew

9:29?
Great run split Chris …!

What a day! That bike course is utterly relentless. I rode it pretty hard and managed 6.04, I have no idea how anyone can ride that in 5.11. Totally amazing. Saw a few ambulances but thank god it wasn’t raining.
I’ve not had a decent race since 2015 so was delighted to do it in 10.34 and 4th in 40-44. I’ve put in the work but Just had one of those good leg days.
As a place there’s no getting away from the fact that Bolton is Bolton. But they do put on a good show.

Great work Chriswim - that’s some swimming prowess. Reckon I must have been one behind you over the line.
