Certainly won’t be troubling Kona spots without some micro dosing or T patches.

Long range forecast is damp and windy, big aid station at the bottom of a fast descent …!

This could get messy!!

And that’s just the the state of the experts decking!

Did you see him…!

Is there any wonder that site ( with 42,000 members ) is only slightly better than this one ( 50 odd members ) ?!

INCOMING…!

He must be related to the guy who said it’s fine to go round three times in the big ring…?

Out of about 60 total

Where’s this?
Surely they’re not stupid enough to put an aid station at the bottom of a descent???

Is the 2021 route with aid stations out yet?

Damp and windy would be nice, kill the weak :see_no_evil::x:

What about temperatures above 25 degrees; that would also cause a minor apocalypse.

I’ve been acclimatising recently.
My long run felt good.
The run course put and back part is 100% shaded.

I’d prefer 17 degrees and a light breeze :rofl::see_no_evil:

Austria has a well shaded run course for more than half of it, as does Hamburg. I don’t know about the others who’ve done Hamburg, but I reckon the trees & buildings maybe offer 70%+ shade on the course? @jeffb @Matthew_Spooner @tuckngo ? The bike course can do one though.

Oh man!
That’s ideal

Yeah Im not getting to excited.
a - Its changing daily from wet, sunny now to this
b - the BBC often cant tell you what its doing NOW, let alone forecast the weather; so fully taken with a pinch of salt.

That said - its got a Southerly breeze on most days; thats gonna make a huge positive difference for the run up the coast.

I’d probably say 60% at Hamburg? Maybe just over, but the general heat being 35 didn’t help.

But after that bike course

It’s still got entries apparently for the rearranged date, no thanks :joy:

What’s not to love about 80km of cobbles and rail crossings around a port, and the same again along windswept dykes? The bike course my mate did there in 2017 looked way better, heading south and into some low hills etc. I bet it wasn’t 6km long either.

Anyway. Bolton definitely happening, and @Poet definitely going for a KQ, just so he can chin it off. I suspect there will be some big roll downs, given the cost & uncertainty.

🤌🏻 Perfect

6km over is just an absolute joke really isn’t it!

Even more so, when there’s a U-Turn on a straight road on each lap FFS :man_facepalming:

Those tracks and cobbles would have been carnage if it had rained :flushed:

I know a couple of lads that backheeled Kona, although one is more tempted now because his mates are going this year, hopefully.
