Black dog, horribin lane corner and town hall are good bike ones.
The park for the run.
Might even throw my leg over for one day only and ride there !
Let’s plan

The park for the run.

Let’s plan
I might be able to ride to the black dog, partly depends on road closures and the bike I’m on, I’m doing a TT the day before on the way so probably the TT bike. I’d then ride back into town and put it in the car. I usually park near Morrisons, again depends on road closures though.
This is assuming its dry!
On the run I usually wander around the town hall and up towards the park.
I reckon the top of SmithHills Road would be a good spot.
Will see guys hurtling down the hill, pained coming back up it then shoot off down into Bolton
Despite earlier watching the promo Vid for “The Race in Paradise” as Cairns is branded, a part of me is a bit jealous about Bolton
Not 100% sure of the new route to be honest
I like on the climbs to see the pain faces, last lap will be tough this year.
My mate who won the 70.3 at Staffs - fuck me I’m name dropping today* - recced the course today.
*I’m also drinking today
That’s decent going off of those watts.
I had something like 300np on my road bike on my first lap of it.
Lurking on his Strava profile and he had a quality run off too
Name dropper…!
Oh wait … !
That was my first thought.
He’s a slippery wee kid.
Nutrition for the start of the bike sorted then
Was like that for the 70.3, they had dredgers and all sorts taking weed out the day before.
That’s lowAF
I’ll take my chances with the and
Ha!
I’d imagine visibility will be poor, be lucky to see your hands in front
Couldn’t see them last year.
It’s brown sludge. Although I’m rarely ill, so felt fine.
Just be careful of the punctures
Gutted I can’t come up
Got a few from our club doing it too.
Plus a few out supporting.

Just be careful of the punctures
[/quote] if its forecast to p1ss down and/or your stoopid enuf to use tubs. but otherwise you’ll be fine
I never find the water nor visibility any problem, it’ll be fine.
I’ve just done the @Poet Huub suit check.
Fuck sake, bent over in front of the mirror and can see a full moon
Early weather forecast isn’t looking too bad, cloudy and ~18c but dry.
I’m sure most people would take that.
