all the buzz around Leeds, and its timing, its highlighting they exist.
reminding folks there are two options, basically:
New razzmatazz but expensive MDot branded but hilly (slow/hard) Leeds
or
Fast 2/3 price glory time flat Outlaw, still a big name race
regardless of buzz about being in Leeds or a new race, not every peep can afford it, or do that likely harder course. Its reminding them there is a perfectly good alternative.
Prices for Leeds definitely seem high. £560+ for the first tier on a priority link seems a lot. But then again, the last 2 fulls I’ve done were based off entries submitted in 2019 and rolled over multiple times from Covid, so I actually can’t remember how much they were!
Edit - posting the above made me look back.
Wales was “normal” prices, and £506.
Mallorca in 2021 was a “back in the game” covid offer which was vastly discounted at €338. That’s the reason how I’m able to do Marbella 70.3 in a months time with the remaining credit from my original Vitoria-Gasteiz entry (which was €617, so actually not much different to Leeds)
Exactly. I’d like to think this could even favour Outlaw long-term, if people compare the two and realise they prefer Outlaw with a better price tag.
Now I’m not naive enough to disagree with Fatpom, that it very well might go the other way, but if that’s the worry then it’s up to Outlaw fans to promote it as a better alternative?
Quite a lot from the look of things
Haven’t swam or ridden since, except for one MTB ride in June that ended in a big crash. A 50 minute 10km is the current limit, and that’s taken a while to build back to
I tried in the sea a month back, lasted 60s and that was it, left arm couldn’t work any longer and I was going round in circles.
I have progressed from 5kg to (still not massive) 15kg DB chest press in that time at least so making some progress with the rehab at least!
