80% full apparently and I’m still not sure they’ve released the course. I’m guessing quite a few tourists wanting to do the new course.
Tenby and Swansea also nearly sold out.

I had the same message for Swansea and Weymouth, both 80%. Do they have to provide proof if requested, sounds like bullshit to me. Although I’d be surprised if Swansea wasn’t closer to 90%, it filled up quick last year.
I’m not doing any IM branded events next year, Swansea is a great venue, I don’t care what anyone says (can be grim when it rains but no more than Yorkshire, Bolton etc)
They haven’t - @BenW thinks he may have stalked down the run course off Strava. As hilly as Tenby maybe…
Im a first timer for IM and stupidly missed the Copenhagen entry as it was sold out so quick… or you could say i was taking my sweet time. Gutted!!! just saw Leeds and might be interested. Do we think it would be hilly ride, rolling run? Or would it be better to do Outlaw instead?
The swim will be the flat bit.
Surely the yorkshire folk will say the swim is uphill both ways too.
With sharks
Course has yet to be published but doubtless will head onto the moors meaning hilly and shit quality narrow roads. I’m going to guess 2k climbing. But there are others on here who know the area better.
Going to need some strong lights for the bit of the course that’s down t’pit and running the marathon barefoot in the snow won’t be good for a PB.
is it full yet !!!
They were saying it’s 80% full a few weeks ago.
Bike is likely to go onto the dales, the roads can be rural and twisty but the surface is sometimes alright compared to other parts of the country I’ve been on.
3 laps of that
That descent down from Harewood will be rapid
I’m not going to pretend the map means anything to me, but the elevation does…
Faint whiff of the old IM Bolton 3 lapper……
From a quick look at that the climb around the 30km would be the one properly steep one.
Bike is only 178.3km, I’m out. Can’t call yourself an Ironman if the course is short.
Thank goodness I didnt enter. Ticks zero boxes. I’d be pissed off if thatcwas my first Ironman (not that Ive done one) I did consider it, good decision I think to not enter. Rather do Barcelona and try to not draft.
