Well i’d swim 7 miles to get away from one of those things @joex mentioned
You really hate people whistling that much?
If you want to start a war, just start whistling in a busy street and wait 15s before someone else starts whistling…a different tune. It’s weird. Try it.
This. Seems disproportionally high.
Marathon, fair?
Long-ish bike, okay.
But let’s start with this behemoth that will ruin most competitors. Just imagine your shoulders on the bike.
Exactly! Feck ‘em. If they didn’t want to swim they should be duathletes or drowned. One of the two. Or audience.
Yes, I am having a pint.
The swim will be cancelled anyway so make it as long as hey can.
Listened to Skipper’s Kona podcast - enjoyed him retelling some biff with Cam Wurf
Joe was also quite scathing of Kona, the course etc “it’s shit”
I always thought it never looked the most exciting course in the world when watching on TV etc, and I was correct. But having said that it’s great for just getting your head down, staying aero and concentrating on numbers, especially on the way back from Hawi
I always say if you want scenic, do Wales. I know its going to grim - part of the attraction for me. A relentless featureless unsupported highway through lava fields while the weather Gods hurl heat, humidity and (hopefully) wind at you to see if you break.
Those kids are like “phwoar, look at the human fish - look at the leg guns”
Not bad calves for a swimmer
Skipper said the same - 50kph+ on the ways back
For me, 21.0mph average 1st half, 23.2 on way back…29mph for the 6.5 miles down from Hawi…good fun… much more spread out on way back and was pretty much solo the whole way
Which is?
Where the hell is it ?
Classic Skipper
The mystery has been solved, it is in Cromer
They should put him on Gogglebox
