Job done… I have qualified for Kona
Awesome news Matt, I’ve been keeping my eye on this forum all week for this post.
Very well deserved. Looking forward to hear about your preparations
Bit of a “soft” year, but I’ll take it
Great news Matt, any idea how deep it rolled?
Not sure, but could be pretty deep. I only needed 2 to roll down
Well done Matt, need to practice swimming without a wetsuit now!
Congratulations, awesome!
Get over there and storm it Matt, you have earned it
Two weeks for a roll down
Well bloody done
My swim is so terrible I am not sure a wetsuit makes a difference
You might find you swim better in OW without one, might be worth getting a swimskin though?
Massive congratulations Matt.
Well deserved. Also been waiting for this post. Folks must have been sat on the email for a while before passing up
Two of my ‘lads’ Kona Q’d at Bolton (a good year to do so) - 1 from a generous roll down and the other 2nd in Cat (leading until the last couple of km) in a busy category. Weekly Ave TSS since Xmas 808 and CTL 125
I’ve got a swim skin. I did OK in Nice in it, and my swim in IM Zurich was also not too bad in it, so may not be such am issue for me
Well done Matt, dream achieved
Well done Matt!!
I feel that I can put Ironman to bed and focus on other crazy stuff as well as organising more fun triathlons
Awesome. Hopefully see you out there, just need the Travel restrictions to open up now. I’ve been keeping an eye on the various websites
Hawaii Travel Restrictions for Visitors: COVID-19 (hawaii-guide.com)
- Once the state of Hawaii reaches a 70% vaccination rate, the Safe Travels program may be able to conclude. We’ll monitor this situation closely and continue to post updates accordingly here on this page. Currently, as of mid-July, Governor Ige has indicated he believes this will be sometime in September 2021.
Currently at 53% fully vaccinated.
The CDC just put the UK onto the red list yesterday, their highest warning Level 4.
Go stay with Spoons in Zug for two weeks
We open up, they close us down. Love the coordination!
