Manchester Marathon moved

wow, can’t even fathom it!

Even the 1.14 guys looked slow in comparison yet I know how fast they’re running.

First female through in 1.16

Anyone got tracking working?

Nope. Doesn’t work :triumph:

Really is poor isn’t it? I am getting “server is busy” error on the app…who’d have thought that when a race with 30k participants is going on!:rofl:

I suspect somthing fishy. They couldnt give a link for tracking the UK’s 2nd biggest marathon until the race started & then it doesn’t work.

ETA: does appear to be general coverage at the moment…was just wheelchair finishers when I first started watching

I quite like the focus on the whole field

Yeah, good to see the decent runners for a change i.e. not elite or not in fancy dress

Would help if they gave position so we could know the rough pace…Talbot road means nothing to me :joy:

Took me a while to figure out that! I think the video feed earlier was not related to the commentary!

The winner finished strongly! Looked like he was sprinting 2:18:2x :scream:

3:15 got awful stomach issues I just couldn’t shift 26km in. Something to learn from. Will give a better fu write up in a couple of days.

Tracker seems to be sort of working?

Or not.

Looks like @Jgav finished under his target and @jeffb also finished.

2:58 for Sean Burke so a solid sub 3.

Nope, quads completely locked up at mile 21 and it was a case of managing it and keep moving forwards to finish it off. Stopped to stretch it out and then hammies locked up so I just toppled over sideways.

3.44.xx which is still an 11 min PB

Can’t be unhappy with a PB mate, well done. :clap:t2:

Sorry to hear it didn’t go to well sowler and jgav.

Better day for me, 3:14:50, about 14 minutes off a PB but that was never the aim.

Felt ok until about 35K then started feeling it, with 4K to go it was a struggle but got into the finish straight and dug in to sneak under 3:15.

Should be good enough for Boston 22 though.

Bit broken now and need to drive home after I’ve finished stuffing my chops :pig:
