I gave Sean the same advise as @Sowler, he too I fear needs to lean by doing (as most of us do).
I think someone posted a link above.
I forgot my overnight oats for pre race breakfast
Quick - run to the shops
Iāve got naff all, Iāll blag it , but hard though when youāre trying to avoid high GI
If I actually finish this race alive, it will probably be one of my greatest achievements
Where you staying?
(Roughly?)
There should be somewhere near that sells Bircher or something.
Starbucks stocks it - pretty nice, too.
Or just get a Grenada bar and some milk?
Staying in Prestwich. Iām sure Iāll find something. Half amused that I got the Mrs to make it specially and then forgot it
I stayed in that hotel owned by a bunch of the ex United players when I did it. Was super convenient as was like 2 mins away from the start and finish. They actually held a room back for people to use to shower and change after the race as well.
Good luck Gents!
Just went through Manchester Piccadilly. Its a very colourful place on a Sat night when the clubs are all open. I felt old, hustled through and got in a taxi.
Did you manage to get your oats though?
Itās lively isnāt it.
Ha ha ha
I lived just behind it for a few yearsā¦ālivelyā doesnāt begin to describe it.
Nice and safe in Prestwich
Good luck everyone. Iāll be running at the same time so canāt track. But will look forward to the race reports!
Is this another wave start job?
I canāt support today
Wifeās hair appointment cancelled, so moving furniture and painting skirting boards instead
Could ask for better weather for marathon running
Yes, eliteās then 3 waves with 3 starts in each I think, about 5 minutes between.
Thereās a half on as well, that might have started though?
Just watched the half winners come through in 1.06
