Their initial cancellation policy did not go down well but I think this has appeased many. Still feel that organisers should learn to release things like this at the same time as a cancellation. I understand there other T&C’s and legal requirements but it’s always an emotional thing - especially for the really big events. There’s a lot to learn in 2020, let’s see if people actually implement changes in the future.
if you aren’t aware, Festival of Endurance at Hever Castle on 5th July has now been cancelled. they’re still hopeful Castle Howard and the September Hever event can still go ahead, but obviously time and regulations will tell on them as well.
I was a TO at 10 events last year - strangely didn’t get wet once except the very last 30 minutes of the World Grand Final in Lausanne which was my last of the season. During the relays it hooned it down.
we were going to camp/stay down in cornwall for a couple of days this summer. I think that is going to be very difficult now! More spaced out pitches, much more people heading down and prices rocketing i’m thinking!
