New road bike?

We’re talking 0.3-0.5W per tyre. So 0.6-1W saving.

Plus latex leak air, so over 180km???
Or 90km?
What’s the PSI after the bike leg?

Then if you puncture?

But yeah, like Cyclist says, that’s properly surprising :exploding_head::man_shrugging:t4:

I got some latex inners in one of my eBay job lots…

I can’t find them anywhere ?!

There 60 mm too. There not cheap I’ve just discovered.

More likely to puncture though?

Depends!

If it’s a hot day, then the rise in temperature over the course of the day might negate any air loss :tipping_hand_man:

Boom!
But that’s also the same for tubeless :see_no_evil::man_shrugging:t4:

less likely, the flexibility also provides puncture protection.

More likely to get trapped when installing though.

I love this kind of discussion - Watts, efficiency etc.

But in reality it ends up depressing me when I realise that the best upgrade would be to eat less crisps.

Every. Single. Time.

Then there’s the polyurethane ones :see_no_evil:

Way way lighter and more puncture protection.
And more £££

Who races ironman on a hot day?

Not my cup of tea.

I used to use Race 28 Light. It’s somewhat ridiculous I held off using latex tubes for so long when they’re worth c5w (or more formally, 0.0005 to Crr).

Pinarello Prince?

Cinelli looks nice, except the cheap chainset (it doesn’t look like Ultegra?).

FSA/Ultegra/105/KMc

  • Frame Weight: 990g
  • Fork Weight: 390g

Bike Specifications:

  • Components: Shimano Ultegra 11x Hydraulic
  • Chainset: FSA Gossamer 34/50T
  • Disc Brakes: Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic
  • Cassette Shimano 105 11x 11/32T
  • Chain: KMC 11x
  • Saddle: Cinelli Winged
  • Bar/Stem: Deda/FSA ACR (Internal Routing)
  • Wheelset: Vision Team 30 TLR Disc
  • Tyres: Impac RacePac 700x28c

The both look nice. The Cinelli is open mould (again nothing wrong but cheaper to do it yourself if you can be bothered)

I keep seeing the Ribble TT/Tri bike on FB adverts and noticed the open mould tri spoke front. I don’t know why but I really like the idea of a tri spoke front wheel.

Same - I’d love one of the older HED tri spokes

If you can put up with tubs you can pick them up for a pretty good price, clinchers go for a lot more.
I picked up a pair for about £200.
