I’m observing protocol then, as I have ZF3 & 4%. Given that I don’t have any form of running races on the road planned (indefinitely), they should do!
Technically the ZF3 was the training shoe version of the vaporfly NEXT%.
ZF FK was the 4% flyknit
Original ZF was the original 4%.
This new zoom tempo next% is the training version of the alphafly next%.
It used to be a bit clearer, as you had “zoom fly” and “vaporfly”, and there was clear similarities in the look of each iteration.
They’ve now somewhat confused matters, by adopting NEXT% in the naming across all levels of shoe. Although I guess the training shoe still has “zoom” at the start of the name, and now vaporfly has just been replaced by alphafly.
Oh, I have the ZF1&2 as well, but think they’re pretty much done now. Yes, the upper on the ZF3 is the vaporweave (unlike the FK)

I had second thoughts on using ‘poindexter’. Whilst that was indeed a shoe nerd reply, I think the ‘socially inept’ part of the definition is a bit much! (if anything, I’m the one who is socially inept when it comes to crossing lines or lack of filter 
).
It was actually @Poet who pointed out it was a bit rude to use that term; when I called him one once, I erroneously thought it just meant ‘nerd’ tbh.

The Tempo’s are going back as they have given me a blister inbetween my big toe and the next toe on my left foot which is weird!
Then I will keep either the Alpha or the Vapor depending on which one suits me the best.

I could do with a new pair of everyday roadies, and i’ve been enjoying my ZF3s more and more of late. My Pegs feel like they are coming to their natural end as well and i retired my NBs a couple of months ago, so i’m way down. Having not run much this year and played about on the bike, i’m behind on my usual shoe rotation so i’m running out all at once!

Yeah they were a steal for the 40-50 quid we paid. That’s a rare sentence when it comes to Nike.
