So a quick chat to Nike and a return for my battered Next% has started.

Eh?!?!?

So you can fully wear them out and get a refund???

WOAH!!!
Here we go - fully wearing all shoes all of the time now!
I need more legs (or feet)

Think it was more the fact that the wear is only in one spot and they felt sorry for me

And you’re quick so they want people to see you wearing them.

Don’t think I’m high on the influencer list for Nike

Just saw an advert for the peg 38. I’ll be a bit torn as I have not got on with the 37s at all, after about 6/7 versions of pegs over the past few years that have been my absolute staples. They actually look like they’re returning to a slightly more traditional shape again.

Apparently my alphafly’s are getting delivered today, at work

Hopefully they’ll try again tomorrow.

Lol that backfired

Yeah - @gingerbongo I think I’ll pick up a pair of 38s once there’s an offer. I’ve still got two pairs of 36s and one 37 in rotation

Not on a BH Monday if it’s DPD :+1:t3:

I saw LIONel was wearing the Kipchoge Alpha’s to take the win by a few seconds over Sam Long, who was wearing Next% BRS.

Yes, DPD so I don’t they’ll get delivered even though it says Ollie is on the case and they’ll be there between 4 & 5, which apart from anything our postroom is closed by then anyway!

Nike originally said about 10 days, the depot is only about 2 miles away so I might try and collect if don’t deliver tomorrow.

Turns out they did try and deliver today, unless they are lying

Anyway, hopefully they’ll try again tomorrow.

I know. Bags of sand in each hand

Is that why he was so slow?
BEcause he had bags of sand in each hand?

Haha. No, feigning injury all this time and knocks a punchy run out

I was going to post later but…

Basically wow, with some buts…

They didn’t have the initial sponginess of the 4% but were slightly better jogging in and felt more stable.

But put your foot down (relatively speaking) and they were great, still stable and a soft ride, can easily see how you aren’t as fatigued at the end of a marathon etc.

I did 19:31, my PB on that course is 18:45’ish about 2 years ago in some semi-flats.

And there’s no way I’m in that shape, especially as I was pretty tired from the 25 and Zwift last night, there was also a stiff breeze. I’d say I was probably in low 20 form in standard trainers, might have sneaked sub 20 with my standard flyknit’s.

But, one big problem was the arch, felt it less when running hard but very irritating and could easily lead to blisters on anything longer than a half. Different socks could help.

THEY DO!!!
I sent my first pair back, got the next half size size up.

Solved. Upper is not as stiff on my Volt Blue ones, compared to my original release ones.
