I have size 8 in all Nike shoes. From basic every day’s, through 4%, Next%, Alphafly, etc
Might be new shoe time, I’m down to foam on the heels of these vaporflys. I absolutely love them.
What shoe do people recommend for road 5km to half marathon ? I’m wondering whether to stick with vaporflys or maybe try something else from Nike like alphaflys??
Matt would get another 500k out of them
I think I prefer the Next% 2 but I’m actually trying them again later as I’ve only used them once
Asics if you ask @leahnp !!!
I just bit the bullet on a pair of alphaflys from keller sports mentioned above
Disgusting green colour, £194
If my wife finds out I’m a dead man
Unfortunately the current pair are bright orange & she has a nose for these things
Just tell her you didn’t pay anywhere near that as you ‘foud a few discount codes’.
I’ve never used this excuse ever. Honest guv.
Hmm, I think you need to get the paintbrush out!
Let me know if the arrive with no customs, please
Stop running on your heels and those 4% will be fine
I think I killed them at local parkrun which is mostly off road, they didn’t like it. Won’t make that mistake again
Get them re-soled at Timpson
So…cross country shoes…
Zoom Rival XC 5
Vs
Zoom Rival Waffle 5
(The latter have “nubs” instead of spike, so might be comfier, but awful in a mud bath! Keep in mind I also have some Salomon trail shoes and Nike trail shoes, both of which are good in mud baths, but heavy!)
Anyone tried the new Zoom Fly 4s?
My Next% Tempos have 750km on them now so will need replacing shortly. I could go for another pair…
Are they out in the UK? I saw them on the US site but no reference to them here.
Seems you can order ok. I’ve just clicked through to the order point no problems with a UK delivery address with delivery date of 5th Oct.
Great! Thanks
Not tried to 4, but I prefer the 3 to the Tempos. Thought they might be fazing it out when the 3 sold out with no replacement.
It’s annoying really. I really like the zoomfly fly kit and the 4%, also a big fan of zoomfly 3s. I guess that’s how they get you though
Not personally but watched a few you tube reviews on them and they didn’t get rated highly.
I suppose the 60 day trial is worth it to try a pair out.
I’ve gone off the tempos massively. The last run I did in them, they really aggravated my achilles. Finally beginning to settle down now after a few weeks of most subsequent runs (in different shoes) being quite painful, which is decent timing, as taper should properly help it settle further
I really like the Tempos. They’ve been great over the last 11 weeks of training and the shoe I’ve used pretty much solely bar my Ultraboosts on some of the slow recovery days. Everyones anatomically unique so the same shoes won’t work for everyone I guess.
