Nike Zoom Fly/Vaporfly 4 and NEXT% - The Thread

I see the Wildhorse 7’s - which I really get on with - are down to £66 :+1:

Ok Peg trail vs Wildhorse.

Speak to me people. My Innov8’s (that i am not a fan of, they’re too harsh on my feet but their grip is fantastic) are falling to pieces and i hadn’t realised until today are actually up ay like 800kms.

I like Nike. I wear them for all my road shoes. As has been noted elsewhere i’d like to get a pair of their trail shoes for the spring/summer/autumn trails. But then i’ll get something gnarlier if i want to go proper winter running again.

SO what’s the difference, as this seems like good deal time!

Also any experience of the Terra Kiger or Zegamas?

I think, on here, I’m a lone voice in the wilderness bigging the Wildhorses up. I’ve got close to 500km on mine & about to retire them because the fabric is wearing at a couple of parts. The grip & cushioning is still great.

Because they work so well I’ve not tried the others.

I’ve got wildhorse as well, quite like them but find they are harsher than the Pegs. Probably use them more in winter or on softer ground.

If you get the pegs for £70 you can’t go wrong really, should be fine on trails.

Cheers both, i’ve bought some Peg trails after looking into it a bit more. Think my feet will be happy with that development, especially coming into Spring now.

I’m the same as you regarding Innov8 - only use them if its all trails, horrible on Tarmac or anything remotely hard

I switched to Nike a couple of months ago After wearing Brooks for a long, long time.

I’ve been so impressed with the Pegs. Legs feel better post run, the long standing calf and IT issues have been reduced, hardly looked used.

So good, in fact, bought a second pair for the treadmill.

Both crap for running.
Absolutely brilliant for £44 for dog walking :+1:t3:

Rubber is far too hard and you slip on wet tarmac, let alone wet rocks.

Pegs all the way. Think I’ve got four pairs now :face_with_peeking_eye: (36, 37 and the same again in “weather shield” which have a better sole and upper for the winter and suitable for light off road)

Sounds like you’re talking about the regular “road shoe” Pegs, rather than the trail version?

tbf, you seem to fall over more than Mr Topple.

New Vapourflys.

This normal on the insole? Like an odd crease or dent.

Does it irritate when running? Looks like the sole had been bent in storage before it was put in the shoe perhaps?

My new Peg trails arrived yesterday as well. Gonna give them a blast later today, see how they fair.

Only a few times, sort of felt like I had a stone in my shoe. Thankfully it’s sort of mid-end foot, and not on the ball.

Did you buy from the Nike website? I’d just do a return and buy them again.

The foot bed does not look right when compared to mine so I would send back if there is even a small chance of irritation

Keller Sport have Streakfly on discount, if you have premium membership they are £70.

Did you post this on the deals thread?

Ah looks like @TriCurious did, and it was cheaper with a code (now expired I believe).

I spotted it on HotUKDeals, thought I might have already seen it here, but I only checked this thread.

While I quite like the Streakfly, they don’t realy have a specific place in my rotation. I’ll occassionally wear them at the track or parkrun, but then again a number of other trainers can do that too.

New Vapourfly 3 meant to land early March.

By all accounts similar to the previous model, slightly lighter with a revised upper.

I’m kind of disappointed with my VF2, the 4% were much better. Not sure I feel much different in my Pegasus.

VF3 don’t look like a step change…?
