@stenard I like your style
Couldnât work out a way to do it through Quidco as they are offering 6% cashback.
Will remember your trick for future purchases though.
Dammit! Didnât think to check there! Another pound wasted
What a PITA!
I really wanted the Orange ones but canât waste ÂŁ40 on a colour, Orange ones on their way back and blue ones ordered!
Anyone run in the ZP FK yet?
I had a very short 0.5k just to see how they felt, I was fast, but 99.95 sure I was running really hard so unsurprising, They were certainly not earth shattering but for the marginal gains they offer they probably never were going to be.
Love the Fly-knit uppers though like having socks glues to the tops of you shoe.
30k run home tonight, other than that just worn them to walk about in thus far.
Iâm going to save myself a wad of cashâŚby not buying any more.
I need new race shoes for the occasional race. Wasnât going to stump up nearly 200 notes for the 4%. But then the other ones i liked, Altra Escalante Racers were still over 100.
So at ÂŁ55, these only need to be half decent for me to be happy!! As long as theyâre a bit quicker than my pegs, iâll be chuffed at that price. TBH, iâll wear them for daily mileage if they fit ok at that price!! Still cheaper than all my other pegs!!!
Never worn Nikeâs before. Yet after starting the original thread on TT1.0, I now have 4 pairs (2x 4% (1x BNIB), 1x ZF SP, 1x ZF FK (on the way)). I have only spent about ÂŁ420 on those four pairs howeverâŚ
âonlyâ
Yeah at just under ÂŁ100 I expected quasi-miracles but for ÂŁ55 as long as they are decent runners I am happy. I said above my Sauconyâs have done 2x Ironman training cycles and are basically coming apart at the seams, I just couldnât find any replacements in my size at a price I liked.
Still hoping the CF Plate has some effect even if itâs just a little efficiency increase. Overall the biggest effect I felt was the Desire to Run fast in them, but thatâs not always a good thing when running long distancesâŚI am sure I will get over that anyway
I did a 4 miler in my ZF FK last night and was impressed with them.
Never had Nikes before and these are quality trainers.
Felt very comfortable and bouncy so should be good for long miles.
This is what I need to avoid this afternoon, the ânew shoe nitrous boostâ.
I need the calming Buddhist chime effect.
Thanks for the heads up on the Fly Knits, and the discount code.
I assume I can cite this thread in the divorce proceedings?
Second Run in the Next%
Fartleks in the afternoon sun.
Today, I spent longer lacing them. I did not lock-lace them today, which massively eased the eyelets rubbing the tops of my feet.
Same socks as last night, same âhot feetâ on the soles as last night.
They feel much, much better at <4:00/km, but still nowhere near as good as the 4% did/do.
Managed to grab the 4 KoMs I was targetting, but Strava is only showing as me having two - even though Iâm top of the leaderboard for the tow itâs saying Iâm second on???
They just do not feel as fast as the 4%.
Plan is to race in them on Sunday, do a few miles in them, then send them back and hope the 4% come back in stock - as they are no longer on the website or App???
Can someone who knows more aboutNike clarify for me please - are the NEXT supposed to be a faster shoe than the 4% - i.e. the one the top runners will be wearing - or is it a slightly more fashionable shoe that just looks new and is a little more comfortable etcâŚ
Thanks
Supposed to be faster. Same carbon sole, but they made it lighter, and then used up that weight difference to put 15% more of that special foam stuff into the shoe. So same weight as the 4% but more foam.
This was the shoe they had Kipchoge, Farah et al wearing at London, and will be the pair i imagine theyâll be giving their pros.

Thanks, appreciate it!
Strange. Did not see that coming. They do appear to be discontinued. Yet Iâm sure it was only just before VLM that a load of general retailers started stocking them, so I just presumed Nike had now released the floodgates with NEXT% out, and were making them generally available. Yet now, all those same retailers are running on last few remaining stock
Theyâll continue to build demand, throttle supply and keep them moving around. Theyâre a canny company, Iâll give them that!
The problem with that is;
I canât use the 30 day free trial and âaccidentallyâ send my older pair back and keep the new ones for race day only
(NB. I do not condone fraud)
I was going to use the 20% off code one some, as Iâve pretty much made up my mind on the Next%.
But, itâs a bit like iPhones isnât it?
The 3GS (once theyâd sorted the WiFi and Internet Out) was pretty much mind blowing, ever since then, itâs much of a muchness.
When I rode to RunNorthWest to enter the 10k this afternoon, I had a touch of the Hoka One X CarbonsâŚ
